the library of fragrance review♡

I never really review fragrances on my blog because I generally stick to the same scents but seeing as I now have some new fragrances in my collection, I thought I would review them for you!

These two delicious scents are from The Library of Fragrance which is a very different and interesting brand! It is basically a Library of Fragrance. What I love about these scents is they have a scent to suit everybody. They have created over 300 different weird and wonderful scents, 101 are available via there website and a selection of favourites are available in Boots stores across the UK. They are also currently on a deal in Boots where you can buy 2 for £25, otherwise they retail for £15 each. The Library of Fragrance scents are created as singular individual fragrances which are designed to be suitable to layer and create new scents.

So the scents I own are -

Vanilla Ice Cream♡
Vanilla Ice Cream is a warming vanilliary sweet scent. It is quite strong and from others opinions, many people think it is quite overpowering when you first put it on. To me, it smells delicious because I am a big vanilla fan. I also find that it has a slight gingerbread undertone to it as well.

Cherry Blossom♡
I have had the most compliments on Cherry Blossom. It's a lovely fresh scent. It is also a little sweet and floral too. It smells like freshly washed hair or a fresh Spring morning. It's really uplifting too.

Packaging♡
The packaging is very sleek and simple. I love how they have a band of colour so the scent stands out. They are also contained in bottles suitable for travelling and taking in your handbag. I love taking these in my bag for school etc.

Staying Power♡
I did the famous staying power test. The scent 'Cherry Blossom' lasted for 5 hours on it's own. The scent 'Vanilla Ice Cream' lasted for about 4 hours. Personally, I think that it's a good amount of time and usually, people top up scents throughout the day anyway. And as these are the perfect handbag size there is no worries about taking these in your bag.

Have you tried any of the scents from The Library of Fragrance?

countryside walks♡

Sometimes it's nice to let off a bit of steam and clear your head with a country walk. There is something so precious about wandering through fields and thick woodland that just makes me feel happy and cosy. I also can't resist to take my camera around with me to take some happy snaps!

Ready to pick blackberries!

autumn lipsticks: the sister edit♡

These are some of my favourite lip colours to wear through Autumn I hope you enjoy!

I have one red lipstick in my little collection and it is probably a very well known lipstick and it is the wonderful Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick. It is a lovely consistency and its very pigmented. I like it a lot and it doesn't smell too bad.

The MAC lipstick that I have is in a beautiful pink shade and it is a creme sheen. I love the feel of                        this one on my lips and the colour is quite a blue toned pink. It is very shiny aswell but looks lovely on.

My Revlon lip butter in the shade pink truffle is a pretty, dark, nude and this one is my favourite's that I have. It's really smooth and creamy on and it can be patted in to look a little bit more natural but its so pretty and glossy.

I really like my body shop born lippy for it is very natural and its lovely to wear for school as well and it smells like raspberry.

The last one that I have is my Maybeline baby lips and this one is the most moisturising one that I have and its just more of a tinted lip balm than a pigmented colour just like the body shop one.

Thank you for reading my post <3

top 10 disney films♡

I am a huge Disney fan and I love anything Disney! Disney is my safe haven, my little happy place where I can be fully absorbed in the magic, the princesses and all the dreams coming true. So much so, I like my little world to be like a Disney film! Today I am going to share my Top 10 Disney films. It was a hard task to narrow it down but here goes! This was also a collab with my disney loving best friend Charlotte click here to have a read of her post!

 10. Tangled♡
I love Tangled! I'm all for the classic Disney but this one had to make my Top 10. I first watched this when it first came out in the cinema and I went several times! I love the story line and how romantic it is. It's also a film to put on when your feeling down! It's hilarious. My favourite moment is
when Flynn (Eugene) and Rapunzel are in the boat and it's the lantern scene when they sing 'I see the light.' It's so beautiful and romantic. 'I see the light' is my favourite song from the film. My favourite character has to be Flynn Ryder!

9. The Little Mermaid♡
I love the Disney Princesses as you shall soon see! I love how adventurous Ariel is. My favourite moment is the scene with Scuttle where we first see a Dinglehopper! My favourite character is either Flounder or Scuttle. I can't decide! My favourite song is 'Part of Your World.'

8. Cinderella♡
Growing up, it was definitely the dream to be a Disney Princess (I'm joking, it still is the dream...)! Cinderella is such a classic Princess! I love this film. My favourite moment is when the mice are making her dress! How cute. My favourite character is Gus Gus. He is so hilarious! My favourite song is 'A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.'

7. Sleeping Beauty♡
I told you my obsession with the Princesses. When I was growing up, Aurora was my favourite because I loved the colour pink and I remember wearing my Aurora dress everywhere! I still wish I could fit into that! Also, Prince Phillip is one of my favourite Princes. My favourite moment is when Fauna, Flora and Mary Weather are preparing for Aurora's 16th Birthday and they are fighting over whether the dress should be pink or blue and Fauna attempts to make a cake without magic!
The 3 fairies - Fauna, Flora and Mary Weather are my favourite characters. They are so funny, especially Mary Weather! My favourite song is 'Once Upon A Dream.'

6. Bambi♡
I absolutely adore this film. Purely because I think the music is a work of art. I love woodland animals and this film is so dreamy and beautiful. The music makes me cry. It's stunning. My favourite moment is when we first meet Thumper. He is adorable and their voices kinda make me want to cry. Actually, the last time I watched this film I really did bawl just at their voices! And you guessed it, my favourite character is Thumper. I love rabbits and he is so sweet! At the start of Bambi they play
'Love is a song that never ends'. Sometimes you tend to skip through the credits at the beginning but I play them over and over just for this song. If you take anything from this little post, I highly suggest you listen to this song. It's honestly so beautiful.

5. Aristocats♡
I remember watching this film for the first time and it made me love cats! I got this in my stocking when I was about 5 or 6 for Christmas and we have it on an old home video and I kept repeating  quotes from the film. It's such a jazzy uplifting upbeat film and it puts me in such a good mood after listening to the music or watching it. This isn't an as talked about Disney classic but it needs a place in everybody's DVD collection. My favourite moment is when we first meet Amelia and Abigail! They are English geese who appear during the river scene. Sophie (my sister) and I joke that we are like Amelia and Abigail! Marie is my favourite character because she is so sassy and sweet. My favourite song is the jazziest of them all - 'Ev'rybody wants to be a cat.'

4. Alice in Wonderland
Alice in Wonderland is such a British classic. I love this film because it's so bonkers and like with Bambi, the music is a work of art. I was in awe of this film when I was younger because it is so crazy and it's one of those films I could just watch over and over and never get bored! My favourite moment is when Alice falls down the rabbit hole after running after the white rabbit or when she first meets the flowers. My favourite character is Alice or the White Rabbit. My favourite songs are 'In a World of my Own' or in 'The Golden Afternoon.'

3. Peter Pan
Again, this is such a British classic and the music is stunning. I love Peter Pan and just how truly magical it is. I cry at a lot of Disney films but this one in particular makes me cry a lot! The story will stay with me for my whole life and it is so enchanting and magical. It's also such a lovely adventure and I have always wanted to visit Neverland since watching this film. My favourite character is Tinkerbell. My favourite moment is when they are flying through London on their way to Neverland.
My favourite song is 'The Second Star to the Right.' It makes me bawl because it's in Disney Dreams in Disneyland and it's one of the most beautiful songs. It's so inspiring and has such an importance in telling children that their dreams really can come true. My favourite line is 'The second star to the right, shines in the night for you, to tell you that the dreams you plan, really can come true.' And on that note I burst into tears!

2. Mary Poppins♡
This isn't strictly a classic cartoon Disney film but this is a classic! I love musicals and I remember watching this in the theatre when I was about 5. The music makes this film and it's beautiful. I cry every time I watch this. Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke are amazing. Again, this is a very nostalgic film for me and one that I will never tire of watching. I also love the era it's set in too. My favourite moment is when they go through Bert's paintings and go on a 'Jolly Holiday.' My favourite character is Mary Poppins. My favourite songs are 'Feed The Birds' and 'Let's Go Fly a Kite'. Both make me bawl my eyes out when I watch the movie because they are stunning!

1. Beauty and the Beast♡
And for the finale. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite ever Disney film! I adore this film. I love everything about Disney Princesses and Belle is my favourite princess. I love this film because Belle has things going for her, she's intelligent and taught me that you should love someone despite their appearance and that it's okay to stand out! My favourite moment is during the Belle reprise when Belle is on the hill surrounded by dandelions and she is singing about how she wants adventure. It's beautiful! Belle of course is my favourite character! It's so hard to decide my favourite songs in this film! I can't decide! Either - 'Belle', 'Belle reprise', 'Be our Guest' or 'Beauty and the Beast.' All of the songs are amazing!

Let me know your favourite Disney films!

september empties♡

Bath and Body
The first product in my empties this season is my Almond Body Butter from the Body Shop. I absolutely adore the body butters from the Body Shop. They are so moisturising and I have used them for years. I have to admit I was quite sad when this ran out but I managed to get another full-size one on a deal so I'm all stocked up!

Shower gels! Oh the section of these posts that are slightly boring but I'm going to whizz through them! I used up the Radox Feel Revived with mandarin and lemon grass which was really refreshing and uplifting which boosted my mood especially, in the mornings. It also left a lovely scent on my body after use. I also used up the Original Source Mango shower gel. Mango isn't my favourite scent in a shower gel because I find it a little sickly but it was a nice summery shower gel! I'm not going to rush out and buy these two again in a hurry but I will use them both and enjoy them if they are ever purchased again!

Skincare

I used up my Simple Deep cleansing face mask which I have had in my skincare stash for about a year now. I used to not get along with the sachet face masks so I remember buying this because I was in desperation mode because I love a good face mask. This was really great because it didn't break me out or make me have an allergic reaction. It didn't do an awful lot for me as regards to anti-spots but it was a gentle face mask to put on at the end of a long day. I won't rush out to repurchase it as I have a Lush one I'm using at the moment!

I used up this Clean and Clear Advantage Oil control cream wash. This was so good for the Summer where I am naturally more oily. It has powder absorbing technology which meant it absorbed all the oil built up on my face. It really did work and I will definitely be repurchasing this asap!

Hair

Now, I wasn't sure what category to put this in so I settled on hair as it is a shampoo I suppose! I used up the Johnsons Baby Shampoo which surprise surprise I actually use this to wash my makeup brushes. It's really gentle and cleans them really well! I already have a back up that I will get out when my brushes need a good 'ol clean again!

Makeup

I used up my trusty Stay Matte powder. I absolutely love this so I won't dwell on it too much. Since I first bought it, I have continued to purchase it because it is so fab. I always have a backup to hand!

Again, like the Stay Matte I have used up one of my favourites which is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. It's amazing and I use it every day!

I used up two lip balms. One being my Classic Carmex which is one of the best lip balms I have ever tried. I bought another one but one in the Cherry flavour instead. I also reached the end of my EOS lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet. It's clear it's not quite used up yet but I've had it for well over a year and a half. I already have another EOS lip balm and I feel as though as it's gotten older it's become a bit more waxy and a harder formula. I really like EOS balms and I already have another so that counts as repurchasing, right?

neutral nails♡

Around Autumn and Winter, the brights and the pastel colours are replaced with things slightly more darker and deeper. I am not the biggest fan of the deep midnight blues and red colours. I prefer something more softer, hence why I decided to pick up these two neutral nail polish colours. They are perfect for all seasons but I feel like these are great choices for a more subtle look for the colder months. I picked up these 2 Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail paints. The formula is a gel shiny formula that is really long-lasting.

The colours I decided to get were 'Almond' which is this muted grey with an undertone of lilac in it which looks stunning on the nails. It's a really pretty understated colour and looks really chic.

I also bought the colour 'Coconut' which is a really pretty off-white cream colour. Sometimes bright white nail polish looks really harsh but this looks a lot more subtle on. I had to do 2 coats of this to get the true colour.

What are your favourite neutral nail polishes?

lush mask of magnaminty review♡

Today I am going to be talking about the Lush Mask of Magnaminty which I bought when I did my bloggers meet up. I have since used this many times so I thought I could review it for you.

Previously, I tended to stick with more lotion based face masks instead of the thicker ones like this one so I didn't really plan to pick this up when walking into Lush. When I went to Lush the lady recommended this to me for being ideal for spot prone skin so I was sold. She also mentioned how this mask lasts for a few months whereas the fresh face masks such as 'Cupcake' last for only a month and are more expensive! You get 125g worth of product for £5.50 which is such a bargain for the amount of times you will use this!

I get slightly oily skin with small breakouts every so often. This mask has gradually reduced my spots whenever I have used this, even the angry ones! It has peppermint in it which is for cooling and refreshing purposes. The mask also contains ground Aduki beans and Evening Primrose seeds which gently exfoliate your skin when you remove it. When you apply it on your skin, the effect is really cooling but isn't really harsh on your skin. The peppermint really does awaken and refresh your skin and makes you feel alive! I leave this on for about 10-15 minutes in the bath or just chilling and it really does help my spots. This is not only a face mask but also works as a body mask. I have put this on my back and it has calmed a few angry spots.

Overall, this is so worth the money and I highly recommend!
